Forest Witch
Finding the power of the forest.
Can you feel the power of the forest as you enter? The sheer amount of life all around you seems to get under your skin, replenishing and energizing your body and spirit. Finding that connection to nature and becoming a part of the powerful life force surrounding you is what the forest witch is all about. Living close to nature, listening to its constant, gentle purr, finding yourself becoming a part of that ceaseless flow.
I loved drawing the forest witch. I spent some days the previous summer sketching in the forests near our summer cottage with an ink pen, finding it a beautiful way of really experiencing the nature surrounding me. It was so much fun putting on paper what I remembered of the forest, the impression it left on me. Drawing inspiration from Slavic clothing for her dress seemed just right for the atmosphere.
